Terlingua Cemetary

Painted plein air at the Terlingua Cemetery.  I had just been to see a show of paintings by Walt Gonske at the Kerrville Western Art Museum.  I saw an image similar to this in one of the show programs.  A month later, I was in Terlingua so I decided to paint with thick paint in a similar style and at a spot where I suspect Gonske had painted his painting.  I didn't really think about much while I painted.  I just tried to paint spots and let it flow.
