Texas Tetons: Colorado Bend State Park

Painted for the Driggs Plein Air Online Showcase.  I was all set to travel to Driggs, Idaho for their yearly plein air event, and the corona virus squashed my plan.  Driggs turned their event into an online showcase, and changed the dates, so I canceled my lodging and decided to show Idaho a little of the hill country of Texas.  Last year at Driggs, organizers teased me lightly saying, "Texas is flat, everybody knows that!"  So since I had the opportunity to paint my home state for a competition in Idaho, well, I just had to paint the hills and rocks.  No, they aren't the Tetons, (I almost cried the first time I caught a glimpse of them last year), but my Texas "Tetons" will do in a pinch.
